Hi!
My name is Becka.
My origin story begins in Minneapolis ward 12, where I was born and raised.

I am running for City Council in the city that raised me along the river that shaped me. I hope I can get your support as we look to the future of this amazing city of water.

I believe that we need to TURN THE PAGE from an ideology of victimhood and complaint. As a teacher, I know that in Abraham Maslow's "hierarchy of need"- SAFETY is always number one for self determination. We must restore that before we do ANYTHING ELSE.
After that, we need to create a space for everyone to thrive. This can be accomplished by making the city more AFFORDABLE for all: families, children, retirees and single professionals.

Just like running a marathon, it won't always be easy, but I promise it will be worth it.
