Sleepy Friday Win

I'm a bit behind in my blogging but I have all the games in my brain. I went to four games in the last week. I think that is the most in my entire life that I've been at the ballpark. I was 2-2.

The first game was Friday May 3. Patrick really wanted to see 'The Fall Guy' while he was with me because he can't do these things with his dad. So right after I picked him up from school we drove to St. Anthony Main cinemas and saw a late afternoon show. If you wanted to know what we thought, you can follow us both on Letterboxd. :) (spoiler: it was fun)

We stopped at home for just a moment before zipping over to Target Field. It was a quiet enterprise. Patrick was already tired and I could tell wanted to just be home. Thats how it is sometimes for a kid who doesn't get to stay much at the place he considers his home. We were up 1-0 for a long while and I told Patrick we could leave during the 7th inning stretch. At first he wanted to leave like 'right away' but he was able to stay. As we wandered out from the Kent Hrbek gate we could hear the crowd raging behind us- Twins must have scored. We listened on the rest of the drive up the parkway to our North Minneapolis hamlet. Indeed they had scored. It was 5-0 Twins.

We got home and I listened to the end of the game on WCCO while Patrick got into his cozy clothes. Boston got 2 but it was too late. Twins win 5-2.

Stats: Paddack (W) 3-1 6K

Jeffers, Julien 2RBI each
